A folk school serving central North Carolina

Based in Franklinville, NC, the Deep River Folk School was founded to create healthier, more resilient and sustainable lives at all levels and share those skills and tools with our community.

We develop local programming on a broad range of folk skills from expert instructors for simple & sustainable living and host free public talks & workshops.

Skills Workshops

Every 3rd Saturday March Through November

Skill-building Workshops run from 9am to Noon & from 1 pm to 4 pm. Lunch is provided to all participants

Every 4th Friday 6pm at Persnickety Books in downtown Burlington

Cost

Adults: $50 per session or $80 for the whole day
Youth (18 & under): $25 / session, $50 / day

Note: Youth must take same workshop as sponsoring adult Sign up for 3 full days of workshops and get the 4th day free
