Carpentry and Building Workshops (3 and 4 Day Project Oriented Workshops)

Carpentry for Newbies
Being able to create your own Shelter is a fundamental skill that people have had for centuries. Led by Small and Tiny House Builder Harvey Harman and others, learn skills to be able to build your own Tiny House. We will focus primarily on Tiny Homes on Foundations, but will also learn about Tiny Homes on Wheels (THoWs). The workshop covers legal issues, building codes, basic Tiny Home Design, Foundations, Framing, and Exterior siding. Participants are required to either already have basic carpentry skills or first take the workshop "Carpentry for Newbies." Students will also need a basic set of personal hand tools for the workshop (list of required tools will be supplied to participants). This workshop is 3 days (Friday--Sunday) with an optional 4th day of additional hands-on activity.
